About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Systems Operator to join our team at HRSD Talent Management. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our sewage treatment facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and completion of HRSD's Apprenticeship program for this trade, or equivalent, as determined by HRSD's Apprenticeship Committee. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain sewage treatment facilities
- Supervise and train staff in the servicing and repair of sewer mains and appurtenances
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on collection system force mains, gravity mains, and pump stations
Requirements: High school diploma or GED and completion of HRSD's Apprenticeship program for this trade, or equivalent, as determined by HRSD's Apprenticeship Committee.
