Job Summary
The Systems Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, control, and repair of sewage treatment facilities under general supervision. The role involves supervising assistants in the servicing and repair of sewer mains and appurtenances, as well as performing involved and difficult maintenance and repair on collection system force mains, gravity mains, and pump stations.
This position works under the direction of the Lead Operators or Systems Foreman and requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of HRSD's Apprenticeship program for this trade, or equivalent, as determined by HRSD's Apprenticeship Committee.
