Work Schedule and Other Information
Account Investigators work schedules are Monday through Friday, 8-hour workdays 9:00 AM - 6:15 PM; overtime and/or unusual hours as required, rotational standby holidays and weekends based on business needs and as circumstances dictate. HRSD business needs are subject to change and will dictate the work location and hours. Must be able to work in all weather conditions - hot, cold, wet, and stormy. Account Investigators perform field work relative to the billing and collection of delinquent customer account balances while establishing and maintaining professional communication with customers, the general public, and staff. Investigators complete daily field work to include but not limited to work list of delinquent accounts that require delivery of customer delinquent notices, disconnection of water service, installation of meter locking devices, meter removals, follow-up inspections, and reconnection of water service.

Brief Description
Under regular supervision, the CCC Account Investigator:
a. Performs field and office tasks relative to the billing and collection of delinquent customer account balances
b. Collaborates with CCC Supervisor in ensuring adequacy of and proper documentation of standard operating procedures within work center
c. Demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of HRSD

Job Requirements
a. Education
1. Required
High school diploma or G.E.D. required
b. Experience
1. Required
a) Two (2) years of customer service-related experience, preferably field related
b) Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
c. Job-specific Technical Competencies
Required
a) Broad Functional knowledge of CCC responsibilities and functions
b) Establishes and maintains effective business relationships with employees of HRSD, and jurisdiction contacts
c) Interact and communicate effectively, in a businesslike manner, both verbally and in writing
d) Respond appropriately to threatening and high-pressure situations
e) Make responsible decisions
