What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Coordinator position at HRT Solutions?
Job Duties
- Managing workers compensation issues, including leading communication with TPA for every location, coordinating contacts, strategy for claim management, paying bills, negotiating claim settlements (with support from Legal Department on complex claims as necessary)
- Coordinating the testing and managing the records and process for new hire testing post hire
- Assisting in facility audits to verify compliance with EH&S regulatory and corporate requirements; promoting safety awareness: assisting all facility safety activities
- Assisting corporate EH&S staff with data acquisition, reporting, permitting, etc.
- Attending EH&S meetings at all levels of the organization; preparing reports related to meeting agendas/actions
- B.S. degree in Safety and Health related or equivalent practical field experience
- Computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding and ability to interpret reliability metrics
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation regulations and practices
- Knowledge of quality assurance and ISO standards
- Knowledge and skills in environmental safety requirements
- The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator requires zero (0) – two (2) years of industrial/manufacturing safety experience with experience in Workers Compensation case management.
