Position Summary
BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Systems Diagnostics Engineer to support our combat vehicle programs. This role involves evaluating design changes and modifications for diagnostics implications and recommending feasible improvements. You'll collaborate with reliability and design engineers and gain valuable experience working on programs such as :
Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV)
Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV)
Bradley Family of Vehicles
Recovery Family of Vehicles
Key Responsibilities
Work across functional teams to develop and optimize diagnostics and testability designs using model-based techniques for complex weapon systems.
Develop diagnostics and troubleshooting strategies, testing, and analysis methods for addressing complex problems.
Interface and communicate proactively with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to integrate diagnostics and testability solutions at the system level.
Provide cost-effective capabilities to detect and isolate faults in systems and equipment.
Conduct subsystem and system integration, including design reviews (internal and external).
Support verification and validation activities of supportability designs during fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Prepare presentation materials for senior management and internal / external customers.
Perform project management tasks, including managing plans, schedules, budgets, and costs.
Required Skills

Technical leadership and mentoring skills, providing guidance to technical personnel and management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present technical information to large audiences.
Ability to develop and manage project plans, ensuring tasks meet cost and schedule requirements.

Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
Required Experience
Experience with testability program activities as defined by MIL-HDBK-2165 .
Experience managing small teams, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Familiarity with system architecture development and diagnostics modeling tools (e.g., eXpress , Cameo ).
Knowledge of software development and testing activities.
Familiarity with fault tree analysis and the ability to read electrical schematics and logic diagrams.
Experience working with complex military systems.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
Education Requirements
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 8 years of related experience .
