Position Description
We are seeking a qualified candidate to develop operator and maintenance procedures for combat vehicles using various technical resources and in compliance with military standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing procedures using models, engineering drawings, schematics, manufacturing work instructions, vendor data, or legacy data.
- Inputting Maintenance Task Data, support materials, and tools into SLICwave in compliance with MIL-STD-13882B and GEIA-0007.
- Collaborating on troubleshooting logic trees, Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), and Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) tasks.
- Marking up or reviewing Technical Publication Work Packages in compliance with MIL-STD-40051 and other Military Standards.
- Incorporating configuration changes based on design/manufacturing discrepancies and technical test incident reports.
- Generating, maintaining, and updating Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) and Task Analysis Summaries (LSA-004 and LSA-019) in accordance with AR 700-82.
- Analyzing technical data packages to determine maintenance and logistic usability.
- Managing problem reports associated with technical data packages.
- Assisting in the development of Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL) and Provisioning Master Records (PMR).
- Identifying and ensuring accurate, timely development of illustrations.
- Recommending program-specific guidelines for Logistics Management Information (LMI) style and format.
- Confirming work flow charts and reconciling cumulative status for Earned Value metrics.
- Reviewing and finalizing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliveries.
- Supporting the integration of technical, supply, and logistical support services to optimize products for the warfighter.
Skills Required
- Ability to read, interpret, and redline engineering drawings.
- Understanding of military technical manuals, parts manuals, and maintenance requirements.
- General knowledge of military parts, stock numbers, and information services such as Web FLIS, PubLog, or IHS Haystack.
- Familiarity with Military Standards such as MIL-STD-13882B, GEIA-STD-0007, AR 700-82, AR 750-1, AR 750-10, MIL-STD-40051, and MIL-PRF-63002.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of relational databases.
- Skilled with Adobe Acrobat Pro and markup tools.
- Ability to support external/internal customer meetings, validations/verifications, logistics demonstrations, LSA/LSAR reviews, in-process reviews, etc.
Skills Preferred
- Familiarity with logistics design influence.
- Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) viewers such as IADS and EMS NG.
- Ability to view models in software such as Creo and Windchill.
- Understanding of equipment support requirements forecasting.
- Familiarity with databases and tools like Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Sets Kits and Outfits (SKO), or Unit Level Logistics Systems (ULLS).
- Experience executing Modified Work Orders (MWOs) and working with Depot Facilities.
Experience Required
- 4 years of hands-on mechanical experience with a high school diploma, or
- 2 years of relevant experience with an associate degree.
Experience Preferred
- Experience with logistics and technical publications in a military or defense environment.
Education Required
- High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
