What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at HRYMCA?
Do you want to teach children a life-saving skill that is fun and great for their physical health? The HRYMCA is seeking enthusiastic swim instructors who will have a positive and lasting impact the safety of our community. Those interested in or who have experience with teaching are encouraged to apply!
Job Duties:
- Instructs swimming lessons for children ranging from babies through school-age as assigned, in accordance with YMCA guidelines
- Develops positive relationships with members and participants and provides motivational support and guidance.
- Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).
- Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment
Qualifications:
- Experience not required; on-the-job training provided
- At least 16 years of age required
- Preference for candidates with experience working with babies through preschool age.
