Provides timely and high quality technical risk evaluations, and services to support Underwriting, Inspection Services, Claims, new product development and new business initiatives to create a positive impact for HSB’s equipment breakdown insurance product. In addition to providing subject matter expertise, a primary goal of this position is to increase our equipment knowledge and drive this learning back through our underwriting, claims and new products business units with the ultimate goal of improving our overall business results.

Education And Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or equivalent work experience is required
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or and MBA is a plus
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or PE credentials required
- 0 to 5 years experience
- Experience working in design, manufacturing, construction, maintenance or operations is a plus
- Experience with data analysis tools and engineering statistics is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of technical and non-technical aspects of Engineering
