The Vice President, Home Office Engineering will manage the “Home Office Engineering” team, including Engineering & Standards, Equipment Technology Lab, Instrument Lab, and the Virtual Information Center. Collectively, these teams make up the Home Office Engineering Group and function as the deep technical knowledge to leverage across HSB.
Responsibilities will include strategically aligning Home Office engineering with PRS, CRS, Claims, New Products, ATS and Munch Re Ventures, providing Risk Management services and technical expertise.
The VP will oversee and be responsible for these group, responsible for establishing and maintaining guidelines and standards that act as the foundation for of HSB Engineering. This leader will look forward to understanding new technologies assisting in loss prevention; and will disseminate technical information internally and externally.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, registration as a Professional Engineering, or an advanced degree is required.
- 20 years experience working in risk management, design, construction, maintenance, or operations is required.
- Experience writing technical papers, specifications, and evaluation of equipment.
- Experience leading staff with a proven track record of success
