HSD Immigration Lawyer is seeking to recruit an Immigration Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with a variety of business- and family-based immigration matters.
Responsibilities:
Under attorney supervision:
· Prepare nonimmigrant (e.g.: H- 1B, L-1, TN, E-2/E-1) visa petitions, PERM labor certifications and immigrant (e.g.: EB-1, EB-2) visa petitions
· Draft letter of support and various USCIS/DOL forms
· Prepare and file adjustment of status and other family-based applications/petitions
· Handle NVC and Consular NIV/IV processing
· Draft RFE/NOID/NOIR/Audit responses
· Draft motion to reopen/reconsider
· Work on asylum cases and hardship waivers
· Communicate with USCIS, DOS, and clients regarding immigration matters
· Draft documents and preparing immigration case filings
· Organize and manage client files
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-3 years of work experience in business- and family-based immigration matters
· At least 1-2 years of work experience using immigration case management system (INSZoom, LawLogix, etc.)
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time-management skills, be detailed oriented; and be able to multitask in a fast paced and highly regarded immigration practice
· Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required
· Authorized to work in the U.S.
