What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager (Certified CIH) position at HSE CONTRACTORS INC.?
HSE has an immediate opening for a site safety Consultant in Washighton:
Requirements:
- Possessing at least a 4year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in:
1) Safety Engineering,
2) Safety and Occupational Health, or
3) Industrial Hygiene (IH)
- CIH certified by the Board of Certified
- Safety Professionals /American Board of Industrial
- Should have 30 Hours OSHA, FIRST aid CPR.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience
- Knowledgeable of current safety trends, industry practices
- Attend the Safety Program Review Meeting and Conduct the monthly Joint Safety Policy Meetings in accordance
- Shall NOT be supervised by the onsite superintendent but shall report directly to the corporate manager/owner.
- Shall have full authorization to correct unsafe acts on the spot, including the authority to stop work to correct safety and health problems.
- Shall participate in the planning, preparation and execution of high-risk activities including, but not limited to:
a. Development and approval of JHA.
b. Review of equipment and materials.
c. Employee training.
d. Review of JHA with employees.
e. Observing and reporting on activities.
- May act as the qualified person for supervising erection and accepting final configuration and perform daily checks of fall protection, excavation, and scaffolding systems in accordance with the regulatory standards.
