Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure safe operation.
- Manage inventory within the warehouse, ensuring that products are stored correctly and accessible for shipping.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Handle heavy haul operations as required, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Skills
- Experience with freight handling and logistics management is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot vehicle issues as they arise.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
