Job Description Summary
Credentialing Specialists play an important role in provider satisfaction by providing strong organization and ensuring efficiency through every step of the credentialing process. Credentialing is a critical part of the healthcare process and our Credentialing Specialists know and believe their role makes a difference every day.

Education

Technical Degree preferred

High School Diploma or GED-Required

Experience

3 Year(s)-Clerical-Preferred

3 Year(s)-Clinic/Physician Practice-Preferred

3 Year(s)-Hospital and/or Healthcare Related-Preferred

Must be proficient in database management and word processing software - Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

A strong working knowledge of medical terminology regulatory agency guidelines/regulations as they pertain to medical colleagues medical colleague bylaws rules and regulations hospital policies and procedures and medical colleague services department policies and procedures required.

Credentialing experience preferred.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

Certification by NAMSS (either CPMSM or CPCS) preferred.
