HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply direct and non-direct clinical support, under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, for patients with a wide range of medical conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Position Specifics:
o Department: Med Surg Unit, floors 3 amp; 11
o Schedule: Part-time, 24 hrs/wk, Nights (7p-7:30a) and every other weekend
o Facility: St. John’s Hospital
o Location: Springfield, IL
o Compensation that aligns with your experience
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in acute care setting is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification in state of practice is preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
