Power Plant Operator

HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Power Plant Operator to join our Facilities Maintenance Team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, and mission driven individuals who operate and evaluate all power plant equipment for efficiency and safety. Adjusts gauges and dials, reads temperatures, and records output.
Position Specifics:
o Department: Facilities Maintenance
o Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Nights (6p-6:30a), every other weekend
o Facility: St. John’s Hospital
o Location: Springfield, IL

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required

Experience Qualifications

• Good understanding of working with boilers is preferred.
• Good mechanical background with understanding of air-conditioning is preferred.

Pay Range:

$28.00 - $38.05

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education, union contract.
