This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments to support transportation planning and management. *Duties* - Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. - Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll. - Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies. - Communicate with team members regarding financial matters and provide necessary reports. - Utilize phone systems for effective communication with clients and vendors. - Assist in dispatching operations by coordinating freight movements. - Employ GPS technology to track shipments and improve logistics efficiency. - Use software such as AS400 and Oracle Transportation Management for data entry and reporting. - Support transportation management by providing accurate financial insights. *Skills* - Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and make informed decisions. - Proficiency in using phone systems for effective communication. - Experience in dispatching operations within the transportation industry is a plus. - Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking freight is advantageous. - Knowledge of AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management software is preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders. - Understanding of transportation planning principles to support operational efficiency. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
