Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, including proper storage of food items.
- Support the dietary department by organizing food production tasks and assisting with inventory management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery to patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any dietary concerns or requests from patients and staff.
- Participate in training sessions related to dietetics and food handling practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timelines.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and visitors.
- A background in hospital settings or knowledge of dietary restrictions is a plus but not mandatory.
