Maintenance Engineering Manager

Overview

The maintenance engineering manager would have mechanics as a direct report,  and be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment within the Tulsa facility by leading the creation and performance of scheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing breakdowns, implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime and set course to optimize equipment performance and lifespan; often requiring technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems to diagnose issues and execute repairs effectively.

Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance:

• Performing routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments on machinery according to established schedules to prevent failures. 

Troubleshooting and repair:

• Diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes, and repairing or replacing faulty components. 

Emergency response:

• Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns during operations and taking necessary steps to minimize disruption. 

Maintenance planning:

• Creating and updating maintenance schedules, developing continuous improvement plans, ordering spare parts, developing optimum parts stocking, and managing inventory to ensure timely repairs. 

Technical documentation:

• Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, equipment conditions, and support quality management standards. 

Safety compliance:

• Adhering to safety protocols, regulations while performing maintenance tasks and driving safety improvement solutions. 

Project management:

• Overseeing small and large maintenance projects, including installation of new equipment or system upgrades. 

Collaboration with other departments:

• Working with production teams to identify maintenance needs, develop and implement 5S enhancements, coordinate repairs with minimal production impact and .
