Sample Development Specialist

Overview :

HSM is seeking qualified candidates for a Sample Development Specialist position to oversee the entire process of sample creation, modification, and expedited production through our foam fabrication plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to read and interpret prints / drawings and have expertise in developing and modifying samples in various materials, including digital patterns, cardboard cutouts, sewn items, foam, and fill. This role is crucial for ensuring that samples meet customer specifications and for supporting the production team in replicating these samples.

Responsibilities : Sample Development :

• Create and develop samples from initial concept to final product based on customer specifications. Ensure samples are accurately developed, modified as needed, and expedited through the production process.

Qualifications :

Must have High School diploma or GED

At least 1 year of CAD or related experience required

Must be able to read and understand spec sheets

Must be able to use measuring devices and do simple math (add, subtract, divide, and multiply)

Proven experience in sample development, pattern creation, and interpretation of technical drawings.

Must understand Foam Production methodologies

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and production team members.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and move materials as needed for sample creation.

Manual dexterity for working with various materials and tools.

Pay Range :

USD $20.50 - USD $21.50 / Hr.
