Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Weld bus seat units in fixtures, jigs, or other positioning devices
- Weld sub assembly components of bus seats units, such as tubes and hinges.
- Stock components as necessary for daily activities.
- Replace wire stump as needed.
- Repair or replace various robotic welder components.
- Measure and record quality information.
- Report and correct quality issues as assigned by supervisor or lead.
- Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
- Operate robotic welders to include advanced troubleshooting and programming.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist other members of productions as needed.
- Perform repair and maintenance activities on equipment as assigned. This may include help from the maintenance department when necessary.
- Record material usage where assigned.
- Correction of quality issues within department as assigned by supervisor.
- Direction of work force as assigned by supervisor.
- Training of employees as assigned by supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate drill for sub assembly components of bus seat units, such as tack-strips.
- Operate plasma torch for various bus seat components.
- Replace Argon/CO2 cylinders and pressure regulator hardware.
- Attach tags as directly by forklift operator, lead or supervisor.
- Repair or replace various robotic welder components.
- Help with inventory when is needed.
- Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
- Formal education is not required.
- Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required for consideration.
- Read blueprint and caliper are preferred.
- MIG welder. There is not minimum time requirement and experience may be from any environment.
- Must pass manual welding test.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate quality issues to supervisor, lead and tool and die personnel.
- Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
- Ability to record quality and production information on records.
- Ability to read print and using measurement tools, effectively evaluate parts for conformity.
- Ability to read instructions for operation, gauging, or other instructions needed for job.

Starting from USD $21.02/Hr.EEOC
