At HSS we are currently looking for experienced Floor Technicians to work in our most luxurious hotels and resort in Birmingham, AL area.
The Fleet Technician performs a combination of duties as directed by the Equipment Manager to maintain the hotel, guest and member golf carts in optimum condition. The fleet technician is responsible to the equipment manager, golf course superintendent and the director of golf.
Typical Functions:
- Preventive Maintenance on Equipment (water batteries, grease front ends, check tire pressure, front end alignment, oil changes etc.)
- Document all work completed on work orders and record in the Limble Preventive Maintenance System.
- Keep a clean and well organized work space.
- Maintain the golf cart facility to Four Seasons standards.
- Assist in operating a safe work environment.
- Utilize the lock out / tag out method for disabling golf carts unsuitable for guest use.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management, within capabilities.
- Ability to multi-task and identify priorities.
Employment Standards:
- Working knowledge of electric and gas engine equipment functions, systems and safety. (battery maintenance, drivelines, gas engines, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting)
- Ability to utilize various trade tools and the safety guidelines of their use.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Basic understanding of the game of golf and the effects this position has on the overall guest impression and experience.
- The ability to communicate on a professional level with staff, vendors, members, and guests daily.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Communicate daily with operations staff regarding opportunities.
- Communicate with food and beverage in cases of servicing the beverage carts or any repairs needed that will affect their utilization of the beverage carts.
- Communicate with members regarding cart issues, repairs and additions.
- Ability to assist in providing estimates for work done.
- Communicate daily with the equipment manager regarding the status of the golf cart fleet, parts needs, as well as any tools needed to be successful.
- Maybe assigned tasks on the golf course during course closures and aerification or asked to assist with turf equipment repair if/when needed.
Some requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Should have at least 1 of Floor Technician experience.
- Willing to work on weekends and holidays.
- Willing to do heavy lifting.
- Must be willing to go under drug screening and background check.
