What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Buyer/Pricing Analyst position at HT Hackney?
HT Hackney is a leader in the wholesale industry. We are currently looking for an Assistant Buyer/Pricing Analyst to join our purchasing team. This is an in-person position. Remote work is not available. Individual must reside in or around the greater Grand Rapids, MI area. This individual will be responsible for a variety of purchasing responsibilities as well as bill backs. This position communicates to sales, distribution, and customers. Travel to tradeshows and buyer's meetings is applicable.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assistant Buyer duties include product replenishment, maintaining inventory levels while achieving service levels, and inventory turn goals. Responsible for processing and maintaining new items, resolving vendor and customer inquiries, and late deliveries. Pricing Analyst duties will consist of working with category managers, buyers, and accounting to ensure funds from marketing events are billed back correctly and timely.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required with attention to detail, time management, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Diplomacy, strong communication, organization, and quick-thinking skills are preferred as well as a positive attitude and commitment to personal and professional success. Ability to accomplish multiple and diverse assignments at any given time is important. Proficient in Microsoft Office, in Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to navigate internet/email systems ins required.
EDUCATION: Minimum 1 year purchasing background or Bachelor's Degree in business administration, supply chain/logistics or related field preferred. Required High School Diploma or GED.

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
