Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the facility's Operation Manager, the Maintenance Helper will assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation. The Maintenance Helper will support the Head Maintenance Technician in repair tasks, providing tools, materials and hands on assistance as needed.
Duties Include:
- Assist the senior maintenance tech in their work.
- Perform basic task such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters and assisting with fixing various equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Perform cleaning activities
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform basic carpentry, electrical and painting tasks
- Assist in moving, arranging and installing office furniture and equipment
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
- Possibility of lifting up to 50lbs at a given time
- Having a team mindset with needs and help required to "get the job done"
- All other duties and projects as assigned
Skills & Attributes
- Basic understanding of maintenance skills
- Knowledge of tools commonly used in maintenance settings
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings
