Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring all processes are efficient and effective.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, order fulfillment, and inventory accuracy.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Develop and manage transportation management strategies to optimize freight costs and delivery times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance category management practices and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in warehouse and transportation management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of operational staff to achieve departmental goals.
Experience
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, including category management, transportation management systems, and freight logistics.
