Configuration Technician

Summary/Objective  
The Configuration Bench Technician position will work under the supervision of our Warehouse Logistics Manager and the Warehouse Lead to test, update, and configure computer systems and their components. The individual will follow strict quality guidelines and procedures during equipment processing. 

Essential Functions

1. Receive orders to be configured from manager or warehouse lead 
2. Pick systems and related components to be imaged  
3. Follow written and/or oral instructions on technical processes to configure systems to client specifications 
4. Update and edit technical documentation as assigned  
5. Image and configure computers, phones, tablets and other equipment as assigned 
6. Complete Quality Checklist for each system imaged 
7. Once system/component is configured re-package as required 
8. Apply asset tags or other labels as specified on customer order 
9. Take system and all corresponding paperwork to Shipping Department 
10. Escalate problems/issues with imaging of systems to manager, or as instructed 
11. Follow policies and procedures regarding safety, equipment storage and warehouse guidelines 
12. Attend and be on time for daily departmental meeting  
13. Attend all other departmental meetings as assigned 
14. Maintain confidentiality of all client information. 
15. Proficient in all department and company policies, procedures and processes. 
16. Maintain warehouse environment to HTG standards as assigned 
17. Report consistently and on time to work 
18. Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience 

1. High School Diploma 
2. Experience in computer configuration and troubleshooting
3. Must be able to consistently lift and move heavy objects 
4. Must be able to stand for duration of 8-hour shift 
5. Great physical stamina and manual dexterity 
6. Ability to work flexible shifts and extended hours as workload demands  

Preferred Education and Experience 

1. Associate degree 
2. Previous warehouse experience strongly preferred 
3. 2 years of experience in computer configuration 

Salary : $19 - $23
