Position Overview :
The Full-Time Commercial Pilot will be responsible for safely transporting personnel to locations primarily within the Midwest region using our 1979 Cessna T310 twin-engine aircraft. Most flights will be single-day trips, with occasional overnights as needed. While the position is on-call, flight demands are typically light and average around three flights per week. In addition to piloting duties, this role involves ensuring the aircraft is maintained to regulatory and company standards, managing preventive maintenance schedules, and maintaining thorough flight records.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is airworthy and in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Review weather conditions, file flight plans, and ensure safe and efficient flight routes.
- Coordinate with ground personnel, air traffic control, and passengers regarding flight schedules and any changes.
- Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
- Monitor aircraft maintenance logs, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with approved maintenance facilities to schedule routine servicing and address any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all federal, state, local, and company safety and operational regulations.
- Ensure the aircraft's airworthiness documentation is up to date, including registration, insurance, and operator certifications.
- Actively champion a positive safety culture, adhering to and enforcing all safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate flight and duty time records in compliance with applicable FAA regulations.
- Communicate upcoming flight schedules, travel requirements, and changes to relevant company personnel.
- Manage necessary documentation and ensure flight manifests are complete.
- Remain on call for flight requests, albeit infrequently, and respond in a timely manner when flights are scheduled.
- Be prepared to adjust to changing schedules, including occasional overnight stays.
- Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.
