Requirements:
- Must have 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in the manufacturing industry
- Must have experience with plant production management and industrial safety management
- Strong leadership, management and communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), production tracking software, and data analysis tools
- Experience in wood product manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and blueprints
- High school diploma or GED; college degree is a plus.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (without visa sponsorship).
Job Duties:
- Directly manage production operators (10-20), processes, and maintenance requirements.
- Employee development, coaching and training; provide clear communication of expectations and performance standards.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous learning.
- Ensure a safe work environment through daily safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA safety regulations; conduct safety investigations.
- Lead shift turnover meetings.
- Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Monitor equipment performance and schedule preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate production scheduling and resource allocation.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate production logs and performance reports.
- Manage and track production KPI’s, including production output, preventative maintenance, quality, safety, reliability, and costs.
- Compile and submit necessary reports.
- Ensure environmental compliance and completion/documentation of inspections, monitor environmental control systems.
- Ensure that all company policies and external regulations are communicated effectively and followed by team members.
- Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement.
