HTI is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer (CAD / Design) for a brand new transformer manufacturing facility located just south of Augusta, GA. This is a direct hire, full-time, onsite, salaried position.

Requirements :
- Must have Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- 1 year of similar ME / CAD design experience is preferred; new graduates with relevant co-op or internship experience are encouraged to apply
- Must have experience with 2D and 3D CAD software
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision at times
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Job Duties :
Design mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.Prepare engineering analysis of customer projects, including preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection.Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes, according to specified dimensions by Computer Aided Design (CAD) system.Interprets drawings in various CAD formats, includingInventor.Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture.Prepare technical construction specifications.Prepare bills of material.Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical products by designing and conducting research : applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and materials.Assist with any project issues, budgets, and schedules in coordination with other internal departments and managers.Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.Coordinate the activities of the production team when implementing the manufacture of new products and assist with resolution of any production issues.Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.Efficiently use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and CAD-programs.Work as a member of an engineering team, cooperating with the team members and managers in an effective manner to perform engineering work of a high quality.Benefits include :
