What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Electrical Engineer position at HTI?
This position oversees the site's electrical infrastructure, spanning from 12.7 kV site feed to substation, transformers, 4160VAC to 480VAC, switchgears, MCC, distribution panels, and down to DC control voltage levels for field devices communicating with servers and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage facility equipment installations
- Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance programs on electrical systems and facility equipment
- Update and troubleshoot the building automation system
- Manage UPS systems, including repairs and routine maintenance
- Coordinate and direct electrical contractor vendors after reviewing one-line and panel electrical drawings
This role ensures that all building electrical infrastructure is installed and maintained according to NFPA, NEC, and OSHA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited four-year college or university
- 5-10 years of electrical engineering experience with a working knowledge of entire electrical infrastructure for a large industrial site
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA related to electrical systems and industrial manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Windows Server OS, and building automation systems (preferably Distech)
