Job Summary :
We are a fast-growing manufacturing company in the Charleston, SC area looking for a Quality Technician (QT) to join our team. The QT will report to the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Manager (EHSQ) and will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards for our products.

Key Responsibilities :
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming components from suppliers.
Conduct in-process / pre-assembly and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
Utilize metrology hand tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, vision systems) to measure and document component quality.
Use a bridge crane to inspect large castings and components over 50 lbs .
Maintain detailed records of inspections and quality data.
Work closely with receiving personnel to coordinate incoming inspections .
Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and work instructions , while educating shop personnel on best practices.
Assist with root cause investigations for quality-related issues and contribute to corrective actions.
Utilize the ERP system (LN) for documentation and product acceptance.
Support production teams in resolving assembly and documentation challenges .
Conduct safety and quality audits to uphold company standards.
Develop and revise quality procedures and documentation , as needed.
Segregate non-conforming materials and support production flow.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager. Why You Should Apply :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent ( Associate degree preferred ).
Experience :
Background in a regulated manufacturing industry (ISO9001 Quality Management System).
Metrology (calibration) training or certification preferred.
Experience with mechanical drawings and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
Skills :
Strong attention to detail and experience in visual inspection .
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (LN and MaintainX knowledge is a plus).
Strong documentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently with analytical problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs., and lift above shoulders up to 25 lbs.
Required safety gear : Steel-toe shoes / boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection (as posted).
