What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at HTI?
HTI is recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant for a growing manufacturing company located just south of Little Rock, AR. This is a direct hire, full-time, salaried position. Working hours are flexible and the position will become hybrid after ~3 months (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). This is a new position due to growth. Relocation assistance is available for candidates located outside of the area. Salary depends on experience and education, with a range from $90,000 – $120,000 / year.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must have 3 years of recent experience in the manufacturing industry
- 4 years of experience with the job duties listed below
- Advanced MS Excel skills, and at least 2 years of experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus)
- Strong background in financial analysis and cost accounting experience preferred
Job Duties:
- General accounting duties to include month-end close cycle, general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, quarterly/year-end close
- Production and financial reporting
- Treasury activities
- Financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements
- Inventory management – maintain inventory records for raw materials and finished goods, reconcile variances from monthly and year-end physical inventory counts, prepare inventory valuation reports
- Support Controller by assisting with budgets/forecasting by providing cost data and trend analysis, preparing financial projections for capital expenditures, labor, materials, and overhead costs
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Develop ad hoc analysis and reports to support decision-making for production and cost control
- Participate in continuous improvement by analyzing processes and recommending solutions
- Ad hoc accounting/financial reports and projects as needed
- This role reports to the Controller and works alongside the plant Staff Accountant. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
