Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Docents and Event Staff for upcoming immersive art exhibits at POST Houston. As a docent or event staff member, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience and ensuring the smooth operation of the exhibits.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors to the exhibit, providing excellent customer service
- Guide visitors through the exhibit, providing information about the artworks and engaging in meaningful conversations
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the exhibit space
- Assist with crowd control and ensure compliance with exhibit rules and regulations
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to coordinate activities and address any issues that may arise
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event management is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
