We are looking for a BIM Manager who excels in a collaborative setting. The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Revit/ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) projects within our offices. This role includes maintaining standards, providing technical support, educating and mentoring team members, and ensuring the efficient operation of each project. A key focus of this position is to enhance productivity for our Revit/ACC projects and teams. Additionally, the BIM Manager will be tasked with developing company standards and implementing a streamlined workflow to improve the output of our projects and drawing sets.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project models. Managing, reviewing, and auditing ongoing Revit/ACC projects at regular intervals for compliance with office standards, level of development, and proper modeling/documentation practices and procedures.
Maintaining Revit/ACC assets including libraries and templates.
Troubleshooting workflow challenges and technical issues with project teams.
Collaborating with office managers to anticipate upcoming modeling needs.
Setting up initial Revit/ACC models with site and context according to BIM standards and guidelines.
Mentoring multi discipline team members on Revit/ACC best practices and project requirements.
Providing project and office Revit/ACC troubleshooting and support to project teams.
Creating parametric and adaptive families.
Creating parametric families for the specific projects needs, capturing the design intent and construction logic.
Authoring BIM Execution Plans that incorporates standards and procedures.
Contributing to the development of new modeling and BIM-enabled design processes.
Organizing and leading Revit/ACC coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
Communicating with clients at a strategic level about the concept of Revit/ACC and other design technologies, and how it benefits their projects.
Constantly learning to keep your own expertise at the leading edge through continuing professional development, experimentation, and research.
Maintaining Revit Servers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Completion of relevant diploma or degree program from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of relevant experience with Revit and BIM Concepts.
Strong working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIMDex and AutoCAD is required. Working knowledge of SolidWorks is desired.
Experience and understanding of BlueBeam / PDF editors.
Willingness to learn new software and optimize the conversions of project models and data between different software platforms.
Experience with, and passionate about, design technology; skilled in its application and practices to increase user effectiveness.
Experience and understanding of BlueBeam / PDF editors.
Extensive capabilities with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations
Understanding of project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication
Ability to work with limited supervision
Must have strong organizational skills (juggling multiple jobs and files from multiple vendors) to be able to meet project deadlines.
Customer service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, partners, vendors) at all levels.
Able to deal with and resolve conflicts between contractors, clients, and the design team.
