We are seeking a contract Right of Way Agent for our client to help them secure the necessary land rights for projects while building positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders.
Job Summary :
As a Right of Way Agent, you will be responsible for negotiating land acquisitions, easements, leases, and permits while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. You will work closely with property owners, legal teams, and project managers to facilitate seamless land transactions that support our development initiatives. This will be a contract position expected to last until the end of 2025. Our client is a leading utility company based in the Lehigh Valley.
Key Responsibilities :
Negotiate and acquire right-of-way agreements, easements, and property interests.
Research land ownership records, titles, and legal descriptions.
Collaborate with property owners, government agencies, and legal counsel to resolve disputes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and environmental teams to assess project impacts.
Maintain accurate records of all negotiations and transactions.
Represent the company professionally in public meetings and stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Real Estate, or STEM disciplines preferred. Associates degree is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in right-of-way acquisition, real estate, surveying, civil engineering or land management.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, terminology, procedures, and practices as well as courthouse functions and practices.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret legal documents, property maps, and survey reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management tools.
Valid drivers license with satisfactory record.
Notary License – PA Notary Public Appointment required.
