Identify the specific needs of existing and potential customers (internal and external) and provide solutions that ensure profitability through total customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions
- The Parts Specialist will be responsible for assisting customers with obtaining the correct parts in friendly and courteous manner
- Provide customer service, evaluate the customer's needs, and answer questions regarding parts, pricing, product availability, and services
- Read catalogs, or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
- Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
- Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
- Fill customer orders from stock.
- Prepare parts counter tickets/slips Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Take inventory of stock.
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
- Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
- Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
- Discuss the use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
- Demonstrate parts and functionality.
- Place new merchandise on display.
- Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, in order to determine whether similar parts may be machined to the required sizes.
- Prepare parts for internal transfer between branches.
- Distribute internal shuttle shipment on incoming parts transfers.

Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: One to two years of related experience
ERP Computer skills preferred.
Ability to stay organized and interact with customers, colleagues, suppliers and vendors
Excellent communication via email, phone, and in person
Prior automotive or heavy equipment experience and knowledge of related parts
