Position Summary
This role is responsible for loading, unloading, and driving the company truck to pick up and deliver items between buildings, and other company activity as needed. Performs accurate inventory system transactions for components moving between buildings via mobile equipment and / or desktop computer. Use powered or manual equipment to move items to designated storage areas. Ensures safe operation of the truck, driving, and material handling duties. Performs truck inspection checklist and maintenance activities and conforms to safety policies and procedures to ensure safe operation.

Duties
- Comply with all quality systems, safety, security, and shop practice requirements.
- Package and secure items for safe and damage-free transport.
- Operate equipment, such as forklift, electric and manual pallet jacks, and stretch wrapper for material handling and loading / unloading of trucks.
- Assist receiving with the unloading of incoming materials and items, along with the labelling and the put-away of materials to designated locations, and the delivery of items to designated personnel.
- Complete daily truck and powered equipment inspection checklist and promptly report any maintenance issues.
- Verify the load against routing documents to ensure accuracy.
- Confer and correspond with supervisor to resolve problems, such as missing paperwork, damages, shortages, and nonconformance to procedures and policy.
- Operate and drive the company truck within specified area to make pickups and deliveries in a timely manner.
- Ensure material movement is shipped, received, and stored according to Company and Federal standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills
Individual must be able to adapt to change and be flexible to meet reasonable objectives
Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, sitting, and hand / finger dexterity
Ability to work individually or in a team environment
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of facility staff
Basic arithmetic skills, the ability to read and understand procedures and documents, the ability to record and verify data
