Description:
Material Handler performs various critical job functions to support the operation of the Extrusion Department. These functions can range from transporting raw materials to dumping trash.
This is a 12-hour rotation night shift, 7 PM – 7 AM.
What you will do as a Material Handler in the Extrusion Department:
- Operate lift truck 90% of the time.
- Keep designated lines stocked with all material needs.
- Move products from various areas within the plant using scanners and systems.
- Remove and replace scrap bins.
- Manually load or unload materials.
- Replace the gas tank on the lift truck as needed.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in Basic English
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must be able to pass the eye exam
- Must have at least 6 months of previous lift truck experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have the ability to mount & dismount the lift truck repeatedly.
- Must be able to perform basic computer functions
- Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment
- Complete Huali’s lift truck certification.
