Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is properly stored after use.
- Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, supporting cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to maintain a clean dining area.
- Follow food handling safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support catering events by ensuring all dishes are cleaned promptly and efficiently during busy banquet services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
