Driver's Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading items, ensuring that deliveries are made on time, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the driver.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in loading and unloading cargo from the vehicle.
• Ensure that all items are securely packed and organized for transport.
• Help navigate routes and provide support during deliveries.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
• Support moving operations as required, including handling heavy or bulky items.

Experience

• Previous experience in a delivery environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial driving practices is a plus.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is advantageous.
• Ability to drive 26 ft box trucks is desirable.
• Knowledge of courier services and logistics operations is beneficial.
• Strong physical stamina for lifting and moving packages regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.75 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
