Team Lead, General Warehouse (VAS) (1st shift)

The Lead Person is to assist the Supervisor or Manager for the overall performance of the warehouse, and operations. The Lead Person plans, organizes, helps staff, directs, and controls the warehouse activities. Assisting in the selection, training, and motivation of the workforce are key responsibilities. The Lead Person is accountable for helping to achieve company objectives in regard to safe workplace, properly trained work force, labor cost efficiency, employee productivity, customer service, efficient storage, accuracy and clean food grade warehouse.

Schedule :

Monday - Friday 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM ($19.50 / HR Weekly Pay)

Essential Functions :

This role reports to the IB Supervisor. Organize and orchestrate VAS (value added services) area and the VAS team members by managing the kitting and sub-assembly processes by which we transform one SKU into various other SKUs, which add value to our end-use customers. Position requires various PIT / Equipment operation, specifically Deep Reach truck. Training will be provided. Computer skills required, specifically Windows, Excel, Outlook, and basic WMS understanding.

The successful candidate :

• Has at least 3 years' experience within distribution center
• Successfully communicates with co-workers and customers both in writing and verbally with fluency in the English language.
• Participates in a team environment focused on hard work and fun.
• Has a valid forklift permit or pass the written test / obstacle course for forklift certification.
• Works independently and follows procedures / work instructions.
• Has prior success building, leading and directing a team to meet business metrics.
• Can train team members in safe equipment operation and maintenance.
• Be able to perform calculations including adding, subtracting, division and multiplication.
• Be able to pass a post-offer drug & alcohol screen that includes THC.
