Job Summary :

Mid-level professional responsible for managing and tracking the company’s total revenue, including both project and service activities, ensuring that revenue is recorded and reported accurately in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Must be capable of fulfilling the project accounting and cost reporting requirements of multiple mid-sized projects or singular large project, including day-to-day interface with project management. The revenue management accountant will also be primarily responsible for margin analysis for the project business.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Project Sales and Margins

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of monthly revenues and costs for projects and aftersales activities.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers (PMs) regarding contract documents, change orders, contract modifications, approvals, and additional services impacting billing.
• Research unbilled issues to optimize billing opportunities within each billing period.
• Set up new projects in the system and accurately record employee billable hours and expenses.
• Recommend and implement process improvements in the billing cycle for greater efficiency.
• Maintain thorough project-related records, including contracts, change orders, and client correspondence.
• Investigate project variances, submit variance reports to management, and collaborate with relevant teams to address issues.
• Monitor revenue streams across multiple projects, providing insights into performance relative to initial estimates and forecasts.
• Track project performance against budgeted margins, adjusting financial projections as needed.
• Report on project and aftersales profitability to management, analyzing revenue and margin trends.
• Close out project accounts upon project completion, reviewing final revenues and costs to ensure accuracy.
