Refrigeration Service Technician

About Hub Refrigeration:

Hub Refrigeration provides commercial refrigeration and commercial HVAC services to the Greater Boston area.

Core Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems
• Inspect HVAC/R systems and components to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R system issues
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters
• Repair or replace defective equipment, parts, or wiring
• Test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
• Follow safety procedures and regulations when working on HVAC/R systems

Qualifications:

• Previous commercial HVAC experience
• MA Refrigeration Licenses Preferred (Will assist with obtaining if not)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, including their design, operation, and maintenance
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for understanding how HVAC/R systems work
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints related to HVAC/R systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC/R systems
• Experience with air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of plumbing principles for connecting HVAC/R systems to water lines
• Familiarity with appliance repair techniques for repairing or replacing faulty components
• Field service experience for providing on-site repairs and maintenance services
• Welding skills for fabricating or repairing metal components of HVAC/R systems

Pay: $38.00 - $55.00 per hour
