Business Analyst Functional / Operational
ON SITE - Rhode Island - 6-12 Months
Responsible for building business and functional requirements and serving as a subject matter expert in an operational business area. This role requires knowledge of health plan operations including Medicare, Medicaid plans, claims processing, EDI transaction processing, enrollment and strong technology systems knowledge. The Business Analyst will be the liaison for the business areas and will coordinate with technology and business on the requirements efforts for projects. Responsible for mapping business processes, helping identify problems and bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
- Gathering, coordinating, and documenting business requirements for system enhancements
- Development and documentation of processes for new and modified business functionalities
- Understands operational processes for the various related business areas
- Document key workflows within the assigned business department
- Manage large-scale project analyses, requirements, and change processes
- Estimate resources and timelines for project deliverables
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications including validation
