Systems Admin and Support
Contract - 6-12 Months / On Site in Providence RI
The System Administrator is responsible for provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and infrastructure. System Administrator ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff to work effectively.
The major responsibility is to ensure the administration and daily operation on the following systems :
Cloud based and local client-based software.
Administration of Infrastructure servers.
Remote device management.
Other Duties include :
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes
Review system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring cloud and locally based software.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
Provide remote support to end users / customers during off hours.
