Are you a friendly and compassionate individual with excellent customer service skills? Do you have a love for animals and a desire to work in a dynamic new veterinary hospital? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! HUB Veterinary Group is a new, privately owned animal hospital, and we are seeking dedicated receptionists to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients, both in person and over the phone, with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clients' inquiries, scheduling appointments, and offering support.
- Efficiently manage the front desk, including appointment scheduling, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for clients and their pets.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with administrative tasks, such as preparing patient records and organizing paperwork.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of (or a willingness to learn) veterinary services, including preventive care, vaccinations, and basic medical terminology.
- Effectively communicate with clients, conveying information about services, pricing, and treatment options.
- Handle client complaints or concerns professionally and promptly, utilizing conflict resolution skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care for animals and contribute to the overall success of the clinic.
- Stay updated on current pet health-related topics and communicate important information to clients when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is required.
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong conflict resolution abilities to handle challenging situations and maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Genuine love and compassion for animals, with an understanding of their basic needs and behaviors.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills
- Prior knowledge of veterinary management software is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
