Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years previous television assignment desk experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Must have excellent writing including grammar and spelling; and copy-editing skills.
- Able to write clear and accurate stories.
- Advanced critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with various personalities and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, knowledge of news and news-makers.
- Familiar with digital platforms and use of social media tools.
- Computer literacy required.
- Must be able to make good decisions quickly; able to articulate choices and communicate those choices to other news department and station employees.
