What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Hubbard County DAC?
Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center (HCDAC) is in search of a patient and caring individual for a Direct Support Professional position. HCDAC provides day support and employment services for adults with a range of abilities. The ideal candidate would be flexible, kind, and able to work with a variety of individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with employment supports and services for persons served
- Leads a variety of recreational and life enriching activities based on the interests of persons served
- Lifts and transfers adults to/from wheelchairs with mechanical lifts to assist with personal care
- Inputs information into an electronic database, tracking persons served time and hours worked
- Supports persons served on community outings
- Promotes independence and dignity
- Provides transportation of persons supported in HCDAC, Inc. vans and buses
Requirements:
- Hardworking, flexible and able to work collaboratively with a team
- Patient, kind, and organized
- Maintains a calm demeanor in handling occasional difficult situations
- Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
- Possession of valid driver's license
- Ability to pass DHS background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with direct personal care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience with timekeeping systems/tracking hours worked
This is a full-time Monday-Friday position. Candidates must be reliable and able to work 40 hours a week.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
