POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for running routine analysis on process solutions from customers, raw materials, and manufactured goods using wet instrumental analytical techniques.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(May perform one or more of the following tasks, as assigned)
- Run analysis using atomic absorption, hull cells and titration procedures.
- Run quality assurance on manufactured products and raw materials.
- Prepare reagents for CHAMP services group.
- Provide technical service advice to sales staff and customers for product use and working bath adjustments.
- Provide field technical service support as needed. Train customers in product control procedures.
- Write reports on analysis performed, record data in Hubbard-Hall databases, and submit reports to customers and the sales staff.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Pick-up samples from customers’ sites.
- Oversee the disposal of laboratory waste generated from plating bath and other analysis performed.
- Maintain a lab notebook and ERP/CRM databases.
- Embrace Lean culture and comply with all ISO protocols.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A minimum of an associate degree, preferably in chemistry, or at least two years of hands on wet instrumental analytical experience in an industrial laboratory. A bachelor's degree in chemistry strongly preferred.
- Have a basic computer competency in common software programs employed in the fields of chemistry, quality assurance and at Hubbard-Hall.
- This position is rated “Safety Sensitive” by CT DOL and is subject to random testing.
