What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Supervisor position at Hubbard Hill Estates?
Hubbard Hill is seeking a Full Time Culinary Supervisory. This role is 9am-5:30pm and requires an every other weekend rotation.
CDM and experience in long-term healthcare preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee and coordinate daily food service operations in healthcare and Rehab dining rooms, including meal preparation, serving, and cleanup.
- Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory of food and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Monitor and maintain food service equipment, reporting malfunctions to the maintenance department.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports on operations and activities, including inventory, personnel, sales, meals served, and requisitions.
- Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff.
- Train and evaluate food service staff.
- Provide direction and guidance to staff, addressing performance issues and providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Menu Planning and Dietetics:
- Participate in menu planning, considering dietary needs and preferences of residents/patients.
- Work with dietitians to ensure meals meet nutritional requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and portioning of meals, ensuring they are presented attractively and meet quality standards.
- Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards, including food safety regulations.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food service.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations.
- Participate in audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Address concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Other Duties:
- May be required to prepare food for cooking or serving
