Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines, with a focus on precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including lathe operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate programming and machining.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes through Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Utilize CAM programming software to create efficient machining paths that minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide training and support to junior programmers and machine operators as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and mathematical calculations related to machining processes.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
- Experience in fabricating parts using various materials is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CAM programming software is essential for this position.
